Foray into Pottery in Bucharest

Each participant will work individually on the potter's wheel under the guidance of a trainer.

The class begins with a demonstration of how to use the pottery wheel.

You will then learn the basic movements in pottery: centering, opening, flooring, pulling and throwing, then you will give the final shape to your vessel.

Towards the end of the class, you will paint the pot created by you with engobe (ceramic pigments) also on the pottery wheel.

The vessel will remain with us to dry, then it will go through firstly at 950 degrees. After the first firing, it will be glazed with transparent ceramic glaze and it will enter the second firing at 1040 degrees.

After about 2 weeks, it will be ready to be taken home. You can pick it up from us with a phone call in advance or you can choose to send it to you by courier.

The cost of the workshop includes all the materials, the continuous guidance of a trainer, the ceramic pigments used for decoration and the two firings.

The workshops take place from Monday to Friday between 10.00-17.00 and on Saturday 10.00-14.00, with prior appointment.
