Family Trip to Owl Fortress in Miercurea Ciuc

The snowbank trip to the Owl Fortress is perfect for families with children and for groups who love nature. We can reach the Owl Cliff by following several paths, which offer a beautiful view of the Trotus Valley.

During the two World Wars, there was built on the cliffs a real fortress with ditches, ruck machine gun posts and bunkers with a length of tens of meters, out of which only the ruins remained today. The view over the winter landscape and the fortress' stories offer us a journey into a charming world.

From here we continue the hike on the ridge and above to other points with beautiful panoramas above Ghimes, and on a different path we return to the village.
