One-Day Trip from Iași to Bucovina's UNESCO Heritage sites

Enjoy a one-day trip to Bucovina, home to one of the world's greatest art treasures: painted monasteries.

Painted monasteries are part of the UNESCO World Heritage Center. You will start the tour with a visit to the most famous monastery in Romania: Voroneț, a jewel of the Northern UNESCO heritage, whose intense blue tone has become famous worldwide, the "Voroneț Blue".

Not far from here, there is the Moldovița Monastery, an architectural masterpiece in Byzantine style. Built by Petru Rares, the prince of the country at the time, the Moldovița Monastery impresses by the complexity of its outer wall frescoes.

Your next stop will be at the Sucevița Monastery - UNESCO World Heritage site in 2007 and dominated by a green shade.

The day's last visit will be at Marginea, a famous center of popular art, famous especially for the black pottery being made here. You will witness the craftsmanship of clay, a unique technique in the world. After that, you will be transferred back to Iasi.
