Canoeing in the Mountains on Siriu Lake

The adventure on the waters of Lake Siriu is an initiation in canoeing in a special natural setting.

The Canadian canoe ride on the lake is the first step in practicing this wonderful sport, the opportunity to see hidden landscapes to those crossing the land, and an excellent opportunity for physical exercise in the middle of nature.

Lake Siriu is situated at the border of Buzau and Brasov counties, with a length of about 10km, 150 km away from Bucharest. It is a dam lake between the Siriu Mountains and the Horses Bridge, formed between rock walls and surrounded by thick forests, which has created extraordinary landscapes that are not accessible from the shore.

The program includes a break on an isolated meadow, an ideal place to rest or to enjoy a picnic.

Equipment provided:
- one tandem canoe with luggage compartment and 2 airtight compartments (caissons) for electronic devices;
- Canadian canoe (the fastest canoe that can support 2 persons and suppliers without problems);
-Life jacket - mandatory.

Mandatory equipment: loose sports footwear, long trousers, shorts, wind jacket, hat, towel.

Participants must have the minimum ability to swim.

The training team will organize a training and practical test before the actual start-up on the route so that all participants can safely move and maneuver such a craft:
- presentation the craft's characteristics;
- canoe navigation notions;
- coordination exercises;
- balance and canoe strokes.

The canoe route will start from the tail of the lake, at the head of Buzau river, called the Black Valley, crossing the entire length of the lake and the side bays, totaling about 12km.

Program:
Shift I 10:00 – 12:00;
Shift II 12:00 – 14:00;
Shift III 15:00 – 17:00.
