Kayak on Lake Siriu

A one- or two-day kayaking tour on the waters of Lake Siriu. We’ll spend the night camping under the starry sky, by the fire, with guitar music, stories, and good company.
The Siriu Dam is the second-largest rock-fill dam in the country, standing 122 meters high and 570 meters long, built between 1982 and 1994.

Once again, we’ll paddle on mountain waters, traveling together on one of the country’s most beautiful lakes – Lake Siriu.

PROGRAM:
We’ll meet on Saturday around noon near Lake Siriu. Once we arrive, we’ll get acquainted and pack the essentials into the kayaks. After a brief introduction to the tour and some paddling practice, we’ll embark on a gentle trip toward the Siriu Dam.

We’ll paddle about 10 km across the lake’s clear waters in a fairytale-like setting. We’ll be free, surrounded by mountains and forests, breathing fresh air. There’s no rush because we have all the time we need – as the saying goes, “we love to travel!”

We’ll return and set up our tents near a cabin on the lake’s shore. After that, we’ll prepare for the evening – gathering firewood, unpacking our sleeping bags, and getting our lanterns ready.

That night, we’ll camp under the starry sky, telling stories and singing by the fire until midnight.
On Sunday morning, we’ll enjoy breakfast in nature and coffee by the lake. After packing up our tents, we’ll be ready to go. We’ll set off again, still by water, in kayaks to explore the other side of the lake, paddling about 10 km once more, through mountains and forests, in colorful kayaks.

DETAILS:
Included are the kayak, life vest, paddle, and photos. We’ll also have additional camping equipment, such as a solar charger for phones and a hammock, available for use.

* Transportation is not provided, but we’ll try to arrange carpooling.
* You can rent a tent and sleeping mat from our partners for 50 lei per person for the entire period. Please bring your own sleeping bag.
