Canyoning at Vanatarile Ponorului Waterfall Alba

It is a not very old activity in our country and it is described by descending a stream in mountains or rocky areas. From place to place we will encounter waterfalls of different sizes that we have to descend, either by jumping into the water which is formed at their base (only from small waterfalls of 3-meter maximum height), or by rappelling techniques through the waterfall.

During the descents, you will experience a very interesting and new sensation and the views are astonishing because we will be surrounded by cliffs eroded by water.

Our route is a very beautiful one, with 4 waterfalls arranged on different levels, the first one having 3 meters, the next 7 meters, then 12-15 meters, and the last, 30 meters.

This distribution gives us the advantage of getting accustomed to the rappel descent from lower heights to the higher ones.

Given the special conditions under which this route is carried out, suitable equipment is required, including integral neoprene costumes with hood, neoprene slippers, safety helmets, static ropes, climbing harness, locking carabiner and belay device.

You will be accompanied by two guides that will help you with equipment and secure your descent.
