The first destination is the village of Cernat, with its old traditional mansions and watermills. Here we visit one of the largest open-air ethnographic museums in the region, the Haszmann Pal Museum, which has several thousand articles from the 18th to 19th centuries. The museum hosts a school of craftsmen for wooden sculpture and furniture painting, where you can find out more about these old crafts from Szekely Land.

Our second stop is at a 200-year-old water mill, still functional, where you can see the entire process of milling wheat in the traditional way. At the end of your route, you can buy delicatessen prepared by locals (cakes, jams, pickles, etc.) or extend your ride with a baking workshop of Kurtos Kalac.

Then we will visit Targu Secuiesc, also known as the City of Guild. The traditions of the guild were preserved until 1947 and the private construction of the courts in the historic center still reminds us of their important role in the history of the city. After a short walk in the center, we can stop at a restaurant for lunch.

From Targu Secuiesc we head to the Vulcanoes Land where we explore unique natural attractions. In Balvanyos Baths resort, you will find a wide variety of mineral water springs, baths, and gas emanations. Local residents have used these natural resources for curative purposes for centuries. We can climb to the Puturoasa Cave, which is the largest hydrogen sulfide mash in Europe that gives off 3000-6000 m3 of gas every day, we go down to the Apor Bath, where we will find mineral baths, similar to jacuzzi.

Then, after a 10km car ride, we reach the only volcanic lake in Central Europe, Lake Saint Ana. Tourists are attracted to this place due to the legends that surround it, the special landscape which makes the place a wonderful spot to reconnect with nature. The walk on the lakeshore is followed by a guided tour in the natural reserve in Tinovul Mohos, where you can admire rare botanical plants from the glacial era such as carnivore plants.

Optionally we can see bears in the wild, from the observer, in complete safety, near Tusnad Baths.
