Paul Plesa & Denis Stancsuy: Storytelling in your pocket. Mobile phone photography and videography workshop

In this workshop you will have the opportunity to learn the basics of photography and videography.
You'll learn the most important elements that help you create a story through the frames you take, and we'll discuss light, perspective, angles, colorization, and editing programs. But we also have many secrets that we have learned over time and we can't wait to share them with you.

Background speaker (Paul):
In 2010 he started creating content with a soap dish type camera and was impressed that he could capture any moment in a photo that would last forever.
In 2014 he started editing videos for various DJs and was fascinated by the multitude of emotions that a video can give to a sound background.
Within a few years he was shooting at his first festival and then went on to shoot at festivals in Belgium and Croatia, create visuals for an agency in Ireland and get involved in numerous projects in gorgeous locations all over Europe . In addition, he was also part of the official UNTOLD festival team.
He went on tours with various artists, thus ending up creating his own team - Pleșa Films Crew. Then he began to gain more and more notoriety in the market, being increasingly asked by photographers and videographers at the beginning of the journey how he succeeded - this is how the idea of one-on-one workshops on how they can develop their personal brand photos/videos.
He also created the Pleșa Films merch with hoodies, caps, mugs, etc.
Moreover, together with a director from Los Angeles, he worked on his first documentary, but also on the aerial view for the film Pup-o ma!
In the future, Paul wants to intensify his activity in the film area.

At the moment he enjoys a wide range of projects he has made, a second documentary and various video concepts created in Milan, Venezzia, London and Romania (Transylvania).

Background speaker (Denis):
He started taking photos in 2008 with an LG flip phone and at the same time editing his photos in photoshop.
He is fascinated by the emotions and stories you can convey through a simple, well-taken photograph, and this has motivated him to learn even more about the ways in which he can convey them. In parallel, he also wrote a blog, and the photo was a complement to the words he was stringing together.
A good period of time was focused on the photomanipulation technique. Combine dozens of images in photoshop to create fantastic lanscapes and posters for theater performances.
From 2011, he started earning his first money from photography: portrait shootings, small events. In addition, he spent two years on cruise ships in the Bahamas and the Caribbean where he photographed almost all styles of event photography (club, portrait, weddings, dinner party, beach party, beach wedding). It was also there that he had his first contacts with teaching other people by organizing two weekly workshops for 4 months: Intro to basic digital photography and GoPro seminar, where he taught people to use the new gopro hero4.
After returning to Romania, he continued working at the Fplus photo studio as a collaborator on the graduate photography side and began to enter the wedding market more intensively in 2017.
In 2021 he had the first attempt to launch his own project - Eyemazing (photographs of the human iris), and at the end of 2022 he managed to realize this project, launching it in the form we can see today: www.eyemazing.ro .

At the moment he is actively involved in 4 distinct projects:
-Wintertour - photographer for all events on the slopes of the Wintertour team (January-March)
-Fplus / Evident - graduation photo for 8th and 12th grades and faculties
-Eyemazing - photos of the human iris
-Starkovsky - wedding photography (intended to turn into destination wedding photography)
