Balkanik Festival – Home of World Music,

Reached the X edition, and will take place between September 8 and 10, in Bucharest, in Uranus Garden and Uranus Street, shaping in a unique atmosphere three days full of live concerts, a large craft fair, exhibitions, DJ sets, workshops , demonstrations, debates, relaxation in nature in the middle of the city, in the shadow of the water tower designed by Anghel Saligny.

"Balkanik Festival is a project co-financed by Bucharest City Hall through ARCUB within the Bucharest Home 2023 Program."

At the anniversary edition, on the big stage of the festival, in Grădina Uranus, between 18:00 and 23:00, Ovidiu Lipan Țăndărică and Fanfare from Zece Prăjini (Romania), Extraliscio (Italy), Taraf de Caliu (Romania), will perform. Papiers d'Arménies with Dan Gharibian (Armenia-France), SMADJ Balkan Project (France-Tunisia), Paulina (Romania), Ufuk Coșkun & friends (Turkey-Romania), Wernyhora (Poland), Kristijan Azirovic Orkestar
(Serbia).
On Uranus street, Friday from 16:00, Saturday and Sunday from 12:00 to 18:00, there will be a stage of DJs focused on the area of world music and nostalgia, on which ABASC, M.O.Z.A.R & Bad Mirel will perform , Miko, Ligia Keșișian & Lucas Molina, Pixar Stellar, Daniel Mitulescu and Irina Popescu.
The Uranus garden becomes, in this edition, a large open-air museum. The public had the joy of discovering numerous demonstrations and workshops of ancient crafts – war cloth, ceramics, embroidery, jewelry making, silver and copper processing.
Event participants will also be able to visit numerous photography exhibitions,
collages and illustrations. Among them are:

„Poloneze și românce care au schimbat lumea” - offered by the Polish Institute;
„Cartooning for Peace”, offered by the French Institute
„Excelențe italiene. Noua generație de ilustratori pentru copii” - offered by the Embassy of Italy and the Italian Institute of Culture Bucharest Photo exhibition signed by Andreea Retinschi
„Dadestar Chaveste – poveste lăutărească” - photo exhibition and book launch Julian Ignatius
„Armenia, tărâmul dintre munți” photo exhibition signed by Karapet Karo Sahakyan and Andreea Tănase
„Origini” - exhibition of collages signed by Cristiana Bucureci Collective exhibition of collages by the artists Adă Moisa, Andrei Stan, Ruxandra Nicolae
Art Machine - machine with original works initiated by the artistic group Pastila Roz
Pop-Up Art Cell - unconventional art gallery with a collective art exhibition

Video mapping on the Water Tower, offered by Epson Romania Uranus Garden and Uranus Street will also host, during the three days of the festival, the largest traditional and contemporary craft fair, twenty varied gastronomic areas dedicated to gourmets, with delicacies of to hotpot food to oriental vegan delicacies, Latin American cuisine and sand coffee.

During the anniversary edition, there will be debates about the community as a resource, the activation of local communities, debates about slow fashion and slow design, cultural ecosystem, re-sourcing local music, eco-heritage, sustainability, etc.
Among those who will participate in these debates are representatives of several organizations, such as the Bunești School, Pro Patrimonio, Sene cusute, Cosânzeana, the "Mihai Cristea" Plant Genetic Resources Bank, artists such as Sașa Liviu Stoianovici (Balkan Taksim) , Alina Ușurelu, Gabriel Durlan, Alexandru Claudiu Maxim and many others.
The little ones will have the opportunity to participate in many educational and fun activities, workshops and enjoy the Balkanik Festival, which is not only a bridge between cultures, but also between generations.

The latest early bird subscriptions are available on www.balkanikfestival.ro, at the price of 90
lei. When they run out, the subscriptions for three days will cost 120 lei. Day tickets will
be put on sale the week before the festival, at the price of 50 lei.

Children under 9 enjoy free entry to all areas of the festival, accompanied by adults.

Refund policy applied by the organizer: Tickets purchased cannot be returned for this event. In the unfortunate event of cancellation / postponement of the event, the money will be returned only according to the Organizer's regulations.
